Isca is the Roman name for Caerleon - the home place of Sarah Broder, the flautist who commissioned the work. The music is nearly always flowing and lyrical. The first performance was given by Trio Tonnau: Sarah Broder (flute), Gwen Haf-Richards (viola) and Fantane Liang (harp) at the Birmingham Conservatoire on May 3rd 2007.
